1761-NET-ENI:  Ethernet/IP to DF1

All Micrologix and Compactlogix controllers can connect to the the 1761-NET-ENI and 1761-NET-ENIW p as well as other DF1 full-duplex devices.

Non-Ethernet controllers on both old and new Ethernet networks can easily be connected to 1761- ENI or ENIW. It’s functionality allows programs to upload and download, talk with each controller, and make SMTP email messages.

Ethernet/IP has inter-device abilities with open protocols industry ratings.  In a peer to perr relationship, You can trade data withPLCs, SLCs, and Controllogix,  Allen-Bradley Ethernet controllers (SLC, PLC, and ControlLogix). No Master-type device is not required.

Both the 1761-NET-ENI & ENIW will allow your controller via SMTP to send email messages to a network and its various destinations.  Transmission initiation via email can be used for data or status details.

Messaging

The 1761-Net-ENI can be reached by other Ethernet devices, or start communications with other
EtherNet/IP devices,  when the ENI/ENIW is connected to a programmable controller and
connected to Ethernet.

Email

SMTP can also be handled by the NET-ENI/ENIW, that provide controllers with a way to send email messages on the network. The email can be used to initiate the transmission of data or
status information on Ethernet.

Applications:

The 1761-Net-ENI/ENIW can function in these application usages:

•Controllers such as SLC, Compactlogix,  MicroLogix, PLC-5, FlexLogix, and
ControlLogix that have DF1 Full-Duplex via a RS-232 port.
• PCs running RSLinx (V2.30.00 +) with a driver DF1
Full-Duplex.
• Other Compliant  DF1 Full-Duplex devices with a RS-232 port.  This could include devices such as an operator interface.
• The Ethernet driver of RSLinx (V2.31.00 & new versions).

Improvements of Series B

• Compactlogix no longer requires for two ENIs .  This also includes Controllogix and Flexlogics with RSLogix 5000.
• DHCP ( Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) can now be used.
• Options for two new BOOTP.

The same characterisitcs of the 1761-NET-ENIW are the same the 1761-NET-ENI. Enhancements include web-server.
