PanelView

PanelView Component terminals are panel-mount graphic display devices that offer keypad or touch screen operator input choices. The size of Display are available from 2-inch, 3-inch, 4-inch, 6-inch to 10-inch flat panels in TFT-color STN or monochrome. Fast and simple installation is achieved with the integrated clamp design of the terminals. There is no need for software installation as it found in the terminal.

Modbus RTU

The Modbus RTU sniffer driver enables fully non-intrusive insight into any existing Modbus RTU network consisting of a master and at leats one slave. The driver can be configured to “sniff” the requests of the master and the log the responses fo the slaves into the database some notes of interest are:

Modbus TCP/IP

The Modbus protocol was developed in 1979 by Modicon, Incorporated, for industrial automation systems and Modicon programmable controllers. It has since become an industry standard method for the transfer of discrete/ analog I/O information and register data between industrial control and monitoring devices. Modbus is now a widely-accepted, open, public-domain protocol that requires a license, but does not require royalty payment to its owner.

Modbus

Modbus is a serial communications protocol originally published by Modicon (now Schneider Electric) in 1979 for use with its programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

MelsecNet

MelsecNet protocol has two variants. MELSECNET/H and its predecessor MELSECNET/10 use high speed and redundant functionality to give deterministic delivery of large data volumes. Both variants can use either coaxial bus type or optical loop type for transmission. Coaxial bus type uses the token bus method with overall distance of 500 metres (550 yards) but optical loop type uses the token ring method and can support a distance up to 30 kilometres (19 miles). MELSECNET/H can support a maximum of 19,200 bytes/frame and maximum communication speed of 25 Mbit/s. MELSECNET/10 supports 960 bytes/frame and a baud rate of 10 Mbit/s. Mitsubishi provides a manual for both the variants Melsecnet/H and MelsecNet/10

FULLDUPLEX PROTOCOL

Use full-duplex protocol: • over a point-to-point link that allows two-way simultaneous transmission • over a multidrop link where interface modules are able to arbitrate transmission on the link • for high performance applications where it is necessary to get the highest possible throughput from the available medium If you connect an interface module to another Allen-Bradley communication interface module, the modules automatically handle the link arbitration. (For a list of modules that automatically handle link arbitration, refer to page 4–1.)

FACTORYTALK VIEW SE

FactoryTalk® View Site Edition (SE) is a supervisory-level HMI programming for observing and controlling disseminated server/multi-client applications. It gives a complete and exact picture of operations, taking care of the requests of different partners including building, support, operations, and creation Information Technology (IT).
